Overview

ArtCodex is a local-first Chrome Extension for organizing game art project data and building prompts inside the ChatGPT web interface. ArtCodex does not use tracking, cookies, analytics, advertising identifiers, or backend services.

Data Collection

ArtCodex stores the project data that you create, edit, import, or save in the extension. This may include projects, styles, characters, locations, custom categories, prompt history, approved prompt versions, UI preferences, and language preferences.

When used on ChatGPT pages, ArtCodex can read visible ChatGPT page content only to detect ArtCodex import blocks and provide prompt insertion features. ArtCodex does not collect authentication information, payment information, health information, financial information, real-world location, browsing history, or analytics data.

Data Storage

ArtCodex stores extension data locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local. Data remains on your device unless you choose to copy it, paste it, export it, import it, or submit content through ChatGPT yourself.

Third-Party Services

ArtCodex integrates with the ChatGPT website by adding local extension controls to ChatGPT pages. ArtCodex does not send your stored ArtCodex data to the developer, to an ArtCodex server, or to any analytics service.

If you insert or submit a prompt into ChatGPT, that content is handled by ChatGPT according to ChatGPT's own terms and privacy policy. ArtCodex does not control ChatGPT's data practices.

Data Sharing

ArtCodex does not sell user data. ArtCodex does not share user data with advertising platforms, data brokers, analytics providers, or other third parties. ArtCodex does not use user data for unrelated purposes, personalized advertising, retargeting, or creditworthiness decisions.

User Rights

You control the data stored by ArtCodex. You can edit or delete records within the extension, clear prompt history where available, reset local ArtCodex data, or remove the extension from Chrome. Removing the extension may delete locally stored extension data from your browser.
